Akwa Poly HND Admission Form For 2022/2023 Session Requirements

SCHOOL OF APPLIED SCIENCES (Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Lab Technology) Requirements
  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology is at least a Lower Credit pass at the National Diploma level obtained from an NBTE-accredited institution. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Computer Science, Statistics, and Science Laboratory Technology respectively, and completed the one-year post-ND Industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with pass levels in National Diploma in Statistics, Computer Science, or Science Laboratory Technology obtained from an NBTE-accredited Programme and who would produce evidence of at least two years post-ND industrial work experience, may also apply.
SCHOOL OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES (Accountancy, Business AdministrationOffice Technology and Management) Requirements
  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration and Office Technology and Management is at least a Lower Credit Pass at the National Diploma level obtained from an NBTE-accredited Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology and Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance, and Public Administration Programmes. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology and Management Marketing, Banking & Finance, and Public Administration respectively, and completed the one-year post-ND industrial work experience.
  • Candidates with Pass levels in National Diploma in Accountancy, Business Administration, Office Technology & Management, Marketing, Banking & Finance, and Public Administration and who would produce evidence of at least two years post-ND industrial work experience, may also apply.
SCHOOL OF COMMUNICATION ARTS (Mass Communication) Requirements
  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Mass Communication is at least a Lower Credit Pass in National Diploma in Mass Communication obtained from an NBTE- accredited institution. Candidates must have also satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Mass Communication, and completed the one-year post-ND industrial work experience. 
  • Candidates with Pass levels in National Diploma in Mass Communication and who would produce evidence of at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.

SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING (Electrical/Electronics Engineering) Requirements

  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology is at least National Diploma at a Lower Credit level obtained from an NBTE-accredited Electrical/Electronics Engineering Programme. Candidates must have also satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and completed the one-year Industrial Work Experience Scheme. 
  • Candidates with Pass levels in National Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.
SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES requirements
  • The entry requirement into the Higher National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, and Urban and Regional Planning is at least a National Diploma at a Lower Credit level obtained from an NBTE-accredited Institution. Candidates must have satisfied the minimum requirements for the National Diploma Programme in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Quantity Surveying, or Urban and Regional Planning and completed the one-year Industrial Work Experience Scheme.
  • Candidates with a Pass level in National Diploma in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management, and Valuation, Quantity Surveying or Urban and Regional Planning and who have had at least two years post-ND industrial work experience may also apply.

  • Candidates should visit the school website https://www.akwaibompoly.edu.ng
  • Click the online application, then generate an invoice with the following details: Phone Number and Name.  
  • Candidates should go to any Commercial Bank in Nigeria with their invoice (RRR Number) to purchase an electronic application PIN and make a payment of N8,000.00 (eight thousand naira) and obtain a PIN (INCLUSIVE OF BANK AND OTHER CHARGES).  
  • Application should therefore be completed by visiting https://www/akwaibompoly.edu.ng with the obtained pin to complete the application with the following steps:   Highlight “Admissions” and select “Application Forms” then select your program and insert, the obtained PIN (Confirmation Order) in the appropriate form to complete the application.
  • Candidates should upload the following documents to the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic’s Portal: Attach 1-year Industrial Attachment Letter Official ND Transcript/Statement of Result Photocopy of the registration receipt N/B:  There shall be no physical Aptitude Testing.  The mode of Aptitude Test shall be based on a dedicated calibrated format.
