2022 JAMB REGISTRATION PROCEDURES: JAMB has commenced the sale of the 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Form. Please note that registration can only be performed only by JAMB accredited centres and JAMB State-Offices.

According to JAMB, all candidates, registration starts on Saturday, February 19, 2022, and end on Saturday, March 26, 2022. PIN vending will also end on Saturday, March 26, 2022.

2022 JAMB REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
PROFILE REGISTRATION
STEP A. NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER (NIN)
  • Candidate must have done Registration with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) and obtained the National Identity Number (NIN)
  • The forgotten NIN can also be retrieved by dialing *346# from the Cellphone Number used to register (Available in MTN and Airtel only for now).
  • Visit www.nimc.gov.ng to see list of accredited centres for NIMC Registration
STEP B: PROFILE REGISTRATION
  1. One Cell (mobile) number (SIM) can be used by one candidate only. The Cell phone number used for the text message is automatically tied to the candidate’s name and will be used in all communications related to his/her 2021 application, Examination/Admission.
  2. Candidate sends the word NIN space the eleven digits NIN to 55019 from his/her phone. [ (e.g: NIN (SPACE) 00123456789]. Candidate receives his/her profile code (of 10 character) and the registration name with NIMC on his/her phone.
  3. iii. Candidate presents the profile code to the point of procurement of form (Banks, MMOs, MFBs, Switches, USSD Partners). The form-ePIN is then sent as a text message to the candidate .
  4. Candidate presents the profile code, epin and NIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for registration
  5. Application cannot be completed until candidate’s finger print is verified. Successful verification authorizes a candidate to print his/her e-registration slip.
  6. Any change a candidate wants to do on the registration data; his/her fingerprint would have to be authenticated.
STEP C: SELF HELP IN CASE OF MISTAKE/LOSS OF PROFILE CODE
  1. To retrieve a lost Profile Code, send [RESEND] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number.
  2. Candidate can reset lost or forgotten Profile Password on their registered cell phone by sending [password] space [email address] to 55019 as a text message from the same mobile number
STEP D. (FREE COMPLAINT) TICKETING
  • For all complaints on JAMB processes, a candidate can create a support ticket at (support.jamb.gov.ng) with his/her email address registered on the Board’s site. The candidate then provides his/her name, phone number and the nature of the issue, select a complaint area on a drop-down and then summarize the nature of the complaint. He/she may also attach supporting documents (if available) then send

  3. Foreign Candidates are to visit the Nigerian Embassy for guidance on how to apply in any of the following countries

DUTIES OF PARTICIPATING BANKS/OUTLETS:

  1. Collect the Profile Code from the candidate’s phone
  2. Collect payment and vend ePIN by SMS to candidate’s phone (Not dictating or copying)
  3. Facilitate POS Payment, if necessary
  4. Issue Evidence of Payment
  5. Delivery of ePIN to candidates. (This should not be Handwritten)
SIX DIFFERENT MODES/METHODS OF PAYMENT/ PROCUREMENT OF ePIN FOR REGISTRATION (CHOOSE SUITABLE ONE):
  1. PAYMENT THROUGH BANKS, INCLUDING MICRO FINANCE BANKS
    • Present Profile Code and pay by cash or card
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  2. PAYMENT THROUGH POS – This is available at State Offices of JAMB + CBT Centres, other POS outlets and any CBT Centre that demands it
    • Present Profile Code and pay by card
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  3. PAYMENT THROUGH MOBILE MONEY OPERATORS – This is available at CBT Centres and Other Outlets
    • Present Profile Code and pay by cash
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  4. PAYMENT USING ATM – This is available on all ATM outlets of Participating Banks listed in C(I) (InterSwitch Channel)
    • Select Bill Payment and then pick JAMB
    • Enter Profile Code and pay
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  5. ONLINE PAYMENT ON JAMB PORTAL
    • Visit the JAMB website: jamb.gov.ng
    • Click Purchase of 2022 Application Document
    • Enter your Profile Code
    • Select payment method (InterSwitch or Remita)
    • Make payment
    • ePIN is then delivered to the candidate’s unique telephone number
  6. PAYMENT PROCEDURE AT FOREIGN CENTRES
    • The registration fee for candidates from the nine foreign countries is $20 or its equivalent in each of the nine countries local currency.
    • Candidates from the nine foreign countries are to download the Application from the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ng), complete and submit it with the fee at the nine designated centres as indicated on the website.

    • create a profile
    • Login to the profile
    • On the menu on the left pane, click on 2022 Foreign UTME/DE registration
    • Go through guided questions until the payment page
    • Make payment using any of the authorised cards
    • Complete the registration directly online
OFFER OF FREE APPLICATION DOCUMENTS:
  • Any government, person or organisation that wishes to distribute free application documents to prospective applicants is required to urgently procure the bulk e-pins from either JAMB or any approved sale outlets.
  • Candidates who want to enjoy any of these offers are advised to visit the sponsor’s designated banks or other e-PIN outlets (NOT ANY CBT centre) to collect the e-PIN after creating their profiles, as illustrated above.
  • No refund would be made to any candidate if he/she had earlier purchased the application document before being offered free e-PIN. Such applicants should refrain from multiple registrations.
