A female student of the Nigerian Law School, Lagos Campus, Nnenna Amadi has died due to alleged negligence from the school’s medical centre.
It was gathered that the deceased had a severe asthma attack on Thursday, August 11, and was rushed to the school’s medical centre but she did not survive.
Sources reveal that the law school’s clinic has only one nurse and that instead of giving Nnenna oxygen they gave her injection because they didn’t have oxygen.
She was later rushed to another hospital where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Sources claim she kept saying: “I can’t breathe!” before she died.
Nnenna lost her dad in April this year.
A Twitter user, Adewale Bepo decring the poor state of the Lagos Campus called on the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA , Olumide Akpata to come to the law student’s aid noting that the students are scared.
“Thus, I beseech you @OlumideAkpata, as the vibrant President of the NBA that you are.
-Reassure students.
-Investigate the death.
-Take measures to prevent future occurrences.
-Do other things that you consider compassionate and helpful for the students of the NLS.
