The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the programme of activities for the Winding-Up and Passing Out of the 2022 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Corps members. The Director General of NYSC has confirmed that the ceremony will take place on Thursday, 22nd June, 2023, and will be kept low key due to prevailing conditions.

Event Schedule

Below is a breakdown of the programme of activities leading up to the passing out day:

Thursday, 8th – Tuesday, 13th June, 2023

Activities during this period will include:

  • Release of Passing Out Corps members by Employers
  • A Job Awareness and Creation programme designed to sensitize Corps members on Job Creation/Opportunities after service. This programme will be conducted at the Local Government level, using relevant officers/NYSC/NDE officers.

Wednesday, 14th – Friday 16th, June, 2023

This period will be dedicated to:

  • Registration/Clearing of Corps members by Local Government Inspectors
  • Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
  • Administration of Questionnaire (Form 4B) on 30% of the passing-out corps members.

Monday, 19th – Tuesday, 20th June, 2023

Activities include:

  • Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors
  • Administration of Questionnaire (Form 4B) on 30% of the passing-out corps members.

Wednesday, 21st June, 2023

This day will involve:

  • Signing of final clearance by Zonal Inspectors

Thursday, 22nd June, 2023

The main event will take place:

  • Distribution of Certificates of National Service to deserving Corps members at the Local Government level.

The NYSC management also indicated that officers from the Planning, Research, and Statistics Department will be on the ground to monitor the programme.

The entire NYSC team wishes all the passing-out Corps members a successful winding-up and passing-out exercise. This ceremony is a celebration of their commitment and contribution to the national development and unity of the country. It marks the end of a crucial year of service, and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.
